Actuator Test Bench

The actuator test bench at the department is used to determine the dynamic properties of actuators. With the system it is also possible to test the actuator control.

Actuators are used on aircraft control surfaces. They move the rudders as commanded by the pilot or flight control system. However, aerodynamic forces also act on the surfaces and thus on the actuators. The control system compensates for these loads so that the desired effect of the actuator is achieved.
